Founded in 1970 by gallerists from Basel, Art Basel today stages the world's premier art shows for Modern and contemporary art, sited in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. Defined by its host city and region, each show is unique, which is reflected in its participating galleries, artworks presented, and the content of parallel programming produced in collaboration with local institutions for each edition. Art Basel's engagement has expanded beyond art fairs through a number of new initiatives.

We are looking for a flexible and dynamic person to join our Art Basel team in Basel as Sponsorship Manager Europe. 

Aufgaben: Sponsor acquisition: sales and negotiation, drafting of sponsorship proposals and contracts. Strategic long-term planning: revenue maintenance and growth, formulation of monetization strategies, development of sponsorship benefits and presence at Show.  Successful client relationship: key account management, contract and benefits fulfillment, support of sponsor activity from concept to execution ensuring consistency with show processes. Collaboration with internal teams: Marketing and Communications (print, digital and onsite signage), PR (press releases, press conferences, etc.), Operations (regulations, logistics, permitting, etc.), VIP (outreach, events, etc.) among others. Reporting: Post show reports and debriefs. Budget: Financial controlling where related to sponsorship. Task allocation and management of Associate Sponsorship Manager and Sponsorship Assistant.

Anforderungsprofil: Education: Bachelor required, Master preferred (Sponsorship, Marketing/Communications or related field). Languages: Fluent in English and German.  Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working in sponsorship on property, agency or sponsor side in a relevant industry and a global environment, experience in negotiation and sales, as well as sponsorship activation. Technology: Established knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, basic database software (CRM systems). Digital and social media: Demonstrable knowledge and experience in social media, overall digital fluency. Characteristics: Quick learner, independent, fast, highly motivated, optimist, 'can do' person, problem solver who takes initiative. Highly organized, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to travel periodically, work overtime and abroad as needed. Strong interest in cultural affairs, specifically in visual arts.
